Rock Solid Amplifier! Reference Audio Mods would like to introduce the spectacular Rock Solid amplifier from Audio Consulting! After a usual break-in period, and many hours of intense listening we must say this is indeed the finest amplifier we have ever heard...Period! It is has an amazing ability to resolve musical detail with stunning realism. The dynamics are thunderous and aggressive while remaining absolutely lifelike in tone. The Rock Solid (30 watts) is is a match made in heaven when paired with the reference "Dulcet" speaker (98db) from Mantra Sound. A completely complementary couple feeding off one another to create musical magic. The Rock Solid comes fit with an MDF granito chassis, high quality Jensen 4-pole and special oil capacitors, and complete point to point silver wire. The input is coupled to the solid state gain stage with silver Audio Consulting transformers. Very simple... very shocking! Plenty of magic is from the amps ability to operate on batteries. The overwhelming opinion out there seems to be that batteries are certainly quiet but lacking in dynamics, pace, and overall presence. I must admit that my research and listening with batteries was quite similar and doubts paced through my mind before the amplifier arrived. Our "special distributor" amplifier comes equipped with both battery and AC mains power supplies and gives us instant access to either. (All Rock Solid's will be battery power only) This was mind blowing to us! Battery power with this amplifier provides much greater resolution, much more openess, much greater lifelike tone, and most surprisingly, way better dynamics and pace!!!! Our system has taken on a completely new life and it is addicting and quite frankly hard to get work done. We believe this is probably a good sign!
