Reference Audio Mods was attending the RMAF 2007 show together with Kryophysics and Tonian Labs in Denver from 10/12/07 to 10/14/07
During this show, we showed the efficiency of our system from
optimal battery supplies which removes the influence of the AC mains on audio equipment.
Digital front ends were modified by Reference Audio Mods using Audiocom, Audio
Consulting
parts and others.
Cryo treatements by Kryophysics on parts and components made clear how
much stress can be removed from any type of material using very low
temperature treatments
Amplifier:
Our beautiful version of the MIPA (Mains Independant Power
Amplifier) run on external batteries
The 30 watt /channel MIPA (Mains Independant power
Amplifier) amplifier is a battery powered solid state design.
It uses input and output transformers, very high speed capacitors in the
power
supply and the highest quality connectors from WBT and Eichmann
Technologies.
The line preamplifier:
It is a low impedance Silver Rock TVC kit
using
a Solid State driver stage powered by batteries.
The very nice wooden cabinet for the TVC and its batteries are
by RAM

The New OppoMax made its debut at RMAF 2007. The OppoMax is a fully modified Oppo unit in a custom produced acrylic top loading chassis, with alot of extra tweaks done to the unit. This eliminates eddy currents, grounding issues and vibration/resonance issues from the stock chassis design.
Simply shocking!!
RAM modifications of Digital front ends that needed AC mains included the use of Audio Consulting's PM mains isolation transfromers
Speakers:
Speakers were Tonian Labs TL-M1 MKII. These stunning sounding speakers feature Raven R2 ribbon tweeters and PHY 12" full range crossoverless design woofer in a semi-open baffled enclosure.
Various:
We were the only fully battery powered system at the entire RMAF show. Over 800lbs worth of the highest quality and best sounding battery supplies powered our system!!
Wooden lenses from Arbelos Elektroakustik were installed under the CD players, preamplifiers and amplifiers
